That is exactly what she will be doing. Ebony has been purchased by some lovely people in New Hampshire. We have several other young horses now available. The gelding, Tevis, sold today to a wonderful lady from California who will train him for her own personal horse with dressage in his future. We at Far Field are thrilled to find such good homes for our horses. Thank you for your comment!

What a great selection of horses! Why would anyone look to any other breed considering they do EVERYTHING and we all look better doing it on a Saddlebred! I'm going to see if I have room for just ONE more horse.....!

Do you breed your own? I'm considering purchasing a weanling in another year or so, assuming my dressage horse sells... And I'm looking for quality, and level-headedness. I'd like to train up a youngster to do all kinds of things (like I do with my horse Zeus- see vids if interested) But as most of my horses were rescues, I'd like to have something really nice, and untarnished for once. I'm reviewing breeders now, Which bloodlines might be best for a dressage/jumping prospect?

Yes, we do breed our own. Except for a couple, all others are the results of our own breeding program. I have found that suitable horses for dressage or jumping may be found in any bloodline of the Saddlebred. I would base my choice more on the conformation of the individual colt or filly. Good nutrition, room to roam for exercise, and positive training experiences are the keys to a physically and mentally sound mature horse, one an owner keeps for a lifetime of enjoyable use.
