that isnt even close to 40 knots 25 max, if you knew anything about sailing you would know you would never hold the main filling in 40 knots, you would be spilling it like there was no tomorrow and finding it tough to hold her with the jib.

@peadar104 Can yngling's put reefs in? Hypothetically if this were actually 40 knots, surely they would have 2 reefs or even 3 and a storm jib? I'm a dingy sailor myself so I don't really understand much of how keelboats deal with these type of winds.

Definitely not 40 knots of wind, more like 20. That boat would be totally over powered even with reduced sail at 40 knots, and the sea would be much larger.

c'mon! i've almost sailed with 35 kts, air was not air but was just water in the air, it was really difficult to breathe...

@chopperita7118 Of course you can sail in 40 knot winds - done it. It is difficult to tell with a video, but it would not surprise me at all of these were 40 knots.
