Viewtiful Joe - Fire Leo

Boss method -

The key to fighting Fire Leo is to set Joe himself on fire too, Mach Speed against the rocks which land all over the stage will protect Joe against Leo's flames.

Once on fire run towards Leo as fast as you can and use strong Zoomed attacks to break his shield. Once the shield is broken Leo will start to spin very fast and throw out marked attacks. If you dodge all of the attacks he throws he'll stun - this is your chance to do decent damage!

I find the easiest way to dodge all of Leo's marked attacks is to pulse Slow on/off in a rhythm which isn't too fast to drain your VFX bar.

it does not make sence that FIRE LEO'S weakness is MACH SPEED FIRE

@mastergamer2011 It does make sense. You set Joe on Fire to nullify Fire Leo's flames. Fire Leo himself is not subject to any damage modification when Joe is on fire.

@qmbqrqdqm Collect the film cans as you pass through the stage. Each set of 50 will unlock an additional section of the VFX gauge.

you know u didn't have to use slow mo so often against him when he spins? if you only use slow mo when you see the skull, it gives you a major vfx regain instead of using it up so fast, and youill be able to land a better hit combo

@Xunmatio The VFX bar is increasing during the dodging sequence. You always end up with more than enough VFX to land the maximum number of hits Leo allows before he begins his next attack phase. I am aware that you can dodge the marked attack sequence without Slow, but that is not the point of this video.

Oh man this was such a fun game. I remember using slow and speed at the same time and i moved at normal speed at slomo. Ah good times.
