Waterworld, original ending (rough cut)

Back in 1995 a friend of mine has bought a cassette with this ending. I discovered it only recently. It took me a while to find somebody who could digitize the tape and how to make subtitles to restore the dialogue, partly overridden by Russian translation. I'm very grateful to my LJ friend Angearia who helped me to restore the almost-inaudible parts.
I can't be sure about it, but it may be the original Joss Whedon's ending. The mythical feel and the cruel irony of the final twist look very Jossian. :)
