The Stainless TLE/RL II is the proper name for the gun. It is listed under the Custom category on the Kimber website. So, I think its the same as your's.

Thanks for the video, great gun you have there.
I own the exact same gun but blued, and have had quite the opposite experience as you actually, haha.
Out of the box, the gun functioned flawlessly, with no failures to feed and not a single issue with any magazine type or brand of ammunition (a common complaint I've heard about with Kimbers).
At 4000 rounds shot, I've had maybe 10 failures to feed total. Just make sure to replace the springs often, best gun on earth.

In the end I suppose thats what matters. You could have the coolest most renowned gun in the world, but if you can't shoot with it... whats the point?
Looking into getting myself a 1911 soon. I've got my eye on the Para GI expert though.

Nice review. I'm about to trade up to a nicer 1911 and I think I've settled on this model. I looked at the Colt rail gun but the Kimber has more features for the money IMO.

Wat a Beauty
Because of the tight tolerences kimbers have been known to take up to 800 rounds to break in. It would be great to see an update vid to see if your still having issues.

Yep, I'll have to post an update. When the pistol was new it seemed like the slide would barely move. Now you can actually move it with just two fingers to do a press check. I also added a Wolfe Extra Power guide rod spring (17lb) after shooting 1200 rounds. I'll have to give it another couple hundred rounds to check the reliability for sure.

One thousand rounds later, I can say that this has definitely helped and it has been fun in the process! Still, this gun is only 99.86% reliable (I've kept a log). On the upside though, it is way easier for me (personally) to hit my target with this style of gun. Trade-offs I guess?
