@charged220 i play guitar, and they have a pedal that you dont need to change the tuning, if your playing with an amp, its makes the guitar sound like any tuning you want
-
they sound drunk xD

ok, you don't know that these 2 songs were played consecutively back-to-back. yeah, they are in different tunings, but he also has a tuner on stage with him and it's not that hard to re-tune it. but it's not fake, it's not like they used the album recording for it or anything

This is the type of entertainment the Super Bowl needs! Too bad Janet and JT had to go and ruin the chance of having "younger and newer" acts.

Solo wasn't real.

what would motivate you to say something that retarded? what even gives the appearance that he didn't legitimately play the solo?

So Happy and No Surprise need two differently tuned guitars. These two songs are played consecutively here without a guitar change. I've read an interview with the guitarist and I have noted these things when I've seen them live. Yeah I'm that die hard of a fan.

@charged220 You can still play the song even if the song is tuned differently than it should be, just change the chords around bit, and that's what he does, so yeah, he is playing the solo here. (just listen and watch and try playing it the way he does here and you'll see that it works out just fine)

@MrMickeBerglund He's playing the solo, but it's over a recording. If the tuning for this song is two steps above "B" in No Surprise, then he must be playing to a recording or have some sort of magic guitar.

Do you play guitar? You might understand what I'm saying.
