These are my pomegranate plants that I started from seeds 6 months ago. They are doing great, especially for one of them that just grew faster than the other 3. It might have to do with me staking it so that it uses more of it's energy growing rather than using the energy to keep itself from falling down. That's just my theory ;). They do need to be transplanted because they have been having slow growth. They should thrive in their new container with new soil. :)

Here's a Video of these plants 6 months ago when they were just sprouts: http://youtu.be/ojz2ebrf3S8

  • Ive tried growing 45 pomegrenate seeds in dirt, but I think out might have been too damp for them. There's growing fungus on them. Did I water it too much?

  • @ShiaNaturesFearie Like you think, you may have over-watered them. Also, try to bury the seed a little deeper so it's not exposed outside to where it can attract tiny insects. If possible and you have extra containers, try to plant them 1-2 seed per small container, this way if some seeds are bad, it doesn't contaminate any good seeds.

  • Wow, very nice!

Out of curiosity, what are those little palm looking plants in the back (especially the shortest one in the background...it's cute. Is that something you grew from a seed? o.o)

As far as the plants in the back, those are just ornamental plants I bought from the store, they were so cute and "cheap" so I bought them. :)

  • @MyInspiredCreation Oh, you replied to the wrong person about that. But I may try this too. :p

  • @WuHa105 OMG, LOL, my bad! I thought both question were from the same person. >.<

  • the Nutrient roots are so fine most people can not see then, but damaging the roots puts the plant into shock, and that is why the others not as big. some plant never recover as they have a tap root, it is much like cutting the top off a tree.

  • Wow, that is nice growth. Pomegranates have such wonderful flavor.

  • @MyInspiredCreation ok thanks im growing some so i was just wundering

  • @killaperson97 I don't use any fertilizers. I use top soil + organic compost for my dirt.
