  • wow. How times have changed. Great song though and very apt for its time. These days if you played this song to a teenager they would wonder what the hell the song was about and wonder why would someone get $2.5 million dollars for playing rock'n'roll? No one listens to rock anymore. These days any sort of new rock music is alternative.

  • @bongo155 im 14 but i pay attention to what goes on... i have good taste im not like other teenagers who are clueless...

  • Back in '94 I heard this song on my way to work and thought it was awesome. Since radio's repetitive I figured I would hear it again. I never did. Not once did they play it again. I never knew the name of the artist nor the song and no one I knew ever heard of it. 2 years ago I asked a question on an answers site and someone finally answered! I can't believe it took 17 freaking years to finally hear this song again! I'm finally at peace... and the song's still awesome =) Thanks for posting =)

  • @delijdewolfe the reason they didnt play it cause on the album "Songs of the daily planet" this is a hidden track...

  • A true classic. I've heard it with changed lyrics....I love this version the best.

  • @dizzytree13 ha! thats awesome i wish my music teacher liked todd snider

  • I've been trying to find new grunge if ne one has ne ideas especially if there underground hit me up

  • @delijdewolfe i got lucky and recorded the song on a cassette one morning back in 95 in vancouver... so i've had it a long time... that station played it a few more times also

  • fuck country. unless youre johnny cash.. or anyone before the 70s

  • @51mrsoul Why would he want to..grow up

  • @bongo155 I beg to differ! A lot of new music is just plain rock'n'roll. The problem is that it's so nonmainstream that it never gets a label. It's all indie music.

Anyways, it wasn't even about playing Rock'n'Roll. But it was hilarious. And a good song.
