A letter arrives from Cousin Pearl which, among other things, asks how Jethro is doing in school. Jed realizes that he forgot all about enrolling Jethro in school and decides to do so that very day.
Jed and Jethro arrive at the very exclusive Millicent Schuyler Potts School which is for students
in kindergarten through sixth grade. When they meet with Ms. Potts she is under the impression that they have come to enroll a younger family member of normal age for the fifth grade

Also in this episode, Cousin Pearl continues her efforts to attract the oil executive back at the old Clampett place and a traveling salesman sings a funny song to Jethrine.
