Konami Arcade Tribute

In the late sixties, four japanese businessmen - Kagemasa Kōzuki, Yoshinobu Nakama, Hiro Matsuda, and Shokichi Ishihara founded KONAMI as a jukebox rental and repair company. Few years later, they began manufacturing video games. Today they also produce toys, anime, trading cards, tokusatsu, medical equipment and slot machines.

As a tribute to the company responsible for franchises like Contra, Castlevania, Silent Hill and of course Metal Gear Solid, I've put together several clips from some of their arcade games - some of them rather obscure, some others insanely popular. Enjoy the trip down memory lane!

I find that so interesting... I never knew Konami started out making Jukeboxes. Look at Nintendo, A hundred years ago they began by making playing cards. Some video game companies just simply have fascinating histories.
