    of course you can change the theme or the background itself and the screen is customisable you have 4 rows on the screen and you can chose whatever you want to put on it like the clock or shortcuts or favorite contacts and you have 2 buttons left and right of the menu button which can also be used as shortcuts to whatever you want...those are the basic home screen options
