@g4ngst4m4n Cause in europe and NA have diffrent catalyc conv. NA is less powerfull becouse of that. The 3.8l engine is not available in US due to emission reg. The 3.8 340hp doesn't pass the USA regulation. 315bhp gives you 6.3 s to sixty but 3.8 version 340 bhp 5.7 sec.

why did the american version have a 3.5l 310bhp engine?

@allthiseverything public schools for you, no harm though, was able to afford my own 2001 e39 m5 6 years after drivers ed, still have it and love it.

At present we have only mass production...
