It must of sucked if one of the people in the background missed a clap and had to redo the whole thing. XD

I agree at least about the uniform...I thought perhaps the scarfing of the cake represented maybe decadence or indulgence.

The video is a metaphore of greed (oil basically). The US doesn't care for the people who are wanting help and attention (the people clapping) and want everything for them selves, hence the guy eating the whole cake to him self. Even though the right thing would be easier, the US takes the hard way around it all (the piece of cake on a plate reprenting the simple solution).
