Sophia Tucker &Jerry Lee Lewis got Brenda on the path of rhyming. It is said Sophia, before TV, ruled the stage. Giver her any sentence & she could rhyme & compose a song. Brenda was related also to Sophia who would not let her go on stage with the rest of the families unless she could do "at least a poem" Brenda was very competitive and rhymed by the age of four just so she could get on stage with her own songs. All of Brenda's songs are her composition. The orchestra did the background.

You are confusing sex with romance. Kids do have a sence of romance. They know that it is to be achieved later on. Brenda Lee came from a composing family. Songs are about money. Romance or sex sales. You are thinking too tightly. This is all about MONEY as Brenda Lee never took a cheque for herself. Monies went to the Brenda Lee foundation to feed the homeless. If sex sold, then maybe the starving would be fed. Brenda was related to two composers, Jerry Lee & Bobby Darin
