@norr4636 My no.1 reason for loving Carter is because he adressed human rights. He didn`t go to bed with brutal regimes like every other administration has done. Nixon killed the president in Chile and replaced him with the devil himself Pinochet. Eisenhower supported Marcos in the Philippines. And i don`t agree that the deficit wasn`t Reagans fault. It was Reagans taxcuts and spending on the military that led to the deficit, and taxcuts and defense aren`t exactly democratic priorities!
