I am Eddie Cohen, tenor saxophonist with Les Skah Shah on and off from 1977 to 1992. I was not in this performance, but it brings back wonderful memories of Skah in its heyday. Special mention I'd like to make here is for the late, great Mario Mayala on guitar....his loss was a great setback to the Kompa movement... ... as there was never a more dedicated musician than he. He quietly devoted himself 100 percent to Skah Shah and was a large part of the backbone of the Kompa movement.

oui tu as raison concernant la date , je me suis monstrueusement trompé , ce ne pouvait être en 2007 , car Mario est dcd en aout 96 . Quand à Arnold Delmas , le nom m'avait été donné par Cubano lui même , peut être qu'il confondait avec une autre soirée . Je te remercie de m'avoir corrigé et si tu connais le nom du percussionniste , je l'attend avec impatience , merci

La date exacte de cette performance est le 3 janvier 1997 à plattduetsche park restaurant. Arnold Delmas n'y était pas. Je ne me souviens pas du vrai nom du percussioniste, son sobriquet est Polopop. C'était le dernier bal du maestro Loubert Chancy avant d'être remplacé par son petit frère Jacques (Doudou) Chancy.

ce concert à eu lieu le 31 dec 2007 à new york sax alto : georges loubert chancy chant : jean ely telfort et jean michel st victor guitare : mario mayala et johnny frantz toussaint ( les 2 cousins ) basse : leslie lavelanet tom : arnold delma batterie : arsene appolon piano : richard duroseau congas : camille armand sax ténor : jacques chancy ( petit frére de loubert ) trompette : eddie leroy depuis ce concert Mario Mayala et Eddie Leroy nous ont quittés ( RIP )
