When quarterback Alex Smith lost his starting job to Colin Kaepernick while out with a concussion, it sent a dangerous message to players in the N.F.L.

Are you fucking stupid? Had Smith still been with the 9ers' QB, the 9ers wouldn't have gotten passed the Packers. Smith doesn't have a arm, he can't run, he plays scared & not to lose (instead of winning) & he shouldn't have been allowed to play on the pro level with his primitive skills. Harbaugh made the correct decision when he kicked Smith's incompetent ass off the field & your position on this matter is laughable if you believe the 9ers are fucking up for having Kappy.

Take off the 2 Williams fumbles and then put Alex back in after he got healed up and we could have been looking at 2 more SB rings for the Niners. He would have decimated the Pats and I am 100% confident his mistake free play and ability to make the proper reads at the line would have won vs. BAL too. He also would have nailed Crab in the chest for an EASY TD in the end zone that Kap threw way to hard for. A veteran QB would not have thrown a bullet pass on that play. Kap choked.

It makes me laugh how, if you really read who cannot analyze just much of a mistake was it to change smith, those are the responders who talk like they haven't even finished high school.

I agree with bluesjammingman and with Steve Young, it is just not about deep throws. Smith would've won the SB with less mistakes, better accuracy , efficiency in handling the clock, and overall smart assessment of the play. It was a mistake and next year will be harder for the 49ers.

Had it not been for Kyle Williams' fumbles, Alex Smith would have been playing in the Super Bowl last year. Alex Smith beat the Packers in the regular season. Your argument isn't very good.
