When I first heard this song, I was in primary school. It was very heated in Hong Kong and as a kid, I did not quite understand the sadness behind the lyric. However, I was attracted by the melody and the beautiful voice. Now I am close to fifty and really understand time runs out too fast, life too short. Those middle age audience then would mostly become part of history now. I still love this song; and from a different perspective.

Yes, I remember Yu Yar and Frances Yip were invited to the 'Police Week' in Singapore in the early 70s. Yu Yar was wildly popular then due to this signature tune. I bought many of her LP, EPs and cassettes from my pocket money as a school boy.
