Mossberg 590 A1

Let's try out my new Mossberg 590 A1 shotgun. This is the standard model with just a bead sight. I like it !!!

I forget that this shotgun and the 870 are almost as likely to cause as many arguments as the AK - AR15 discussions. I've already had my integrity attacked by a Remington 870 lover (employee?), saying I'm being paid by Mossberg. :-) Well, I only WISH a gun company were willing to PAY me! I don't even get T&E guns from Mossberg, who doesn't even know i exist, I'm sure. Of course, I wouldn't come cheap, and I'd let you know that if it ever happened. My credibility is more important to me than about anything. I bought this gun, and if it does not prove reliable, you'll know about it and see it on the Tube.

By the way, that was a Personal Security Systems Holster I flashed with my Glock 23 in it. I've been wearing either it or the CrossBreed SuperTuck almost exclusively this winter. I like them both a great deal.

Hey guys, whats a better bayonet for this gun and just a better bayonet in general, the Ontario m-9 or the S&W 3B m-9? I like that the S&W is a 7.8 inch blade and about $50. Why is the Ontario twice the price?

For once you've found a gun that looks pretty big in your hands. Normally it looks like you're shooting 7/10th scale replicas.

I bought my 590 with my AK on my 18th bday and have never had a problem the 590 is the AK of the shotgun world in myopinion

@resdudeornardude i sugest that if you get a 870 you get the remington 870 police magnum if you have the extra cash, because it is built better the the express line (it even says on the site). out of the 4 shotguns i own 3 of them are mossberg 590A1 and the other is a remington 870 police magnum, you really cant go wrong with either one of them.

@resdudeornardude Its really just a preference. A lot of people will argue back and forth saying which ones better. I personally perfer the 870 i find it feels a little more sturdy. Other people will say the mossberg is better because it has dual extractors but i have never had a problem with my 870. I suggest that you go to a local gun shop and shoulder both and see which one you find better feeling. you can't go wrong with either.

It's probably wise Mossberg used aluminum in the receiver. With that heavy walled barrel and high capacity magazine, it would weigh a ton if it had a milled steel receiver like an 870.  These 590 A1s are still excellent, hard use, reliable weapons. Army Accepted...so something was done right.
