I'm shocked that I have high cholesterol because I eat lower saturated fat and cholesterol than the average person. My dad's cholesterol was 9 or 10 when he was in his early 30s and he's always been thin and all of that... so probably hereditary. So people who insist that it's from eating like crap or not exercising, that's not the case.

  • I dont meen to sound like a dick but I cant say this any other way "Im not shocked your cholesterol is high, you have to work on bring it down, you cant just sit around and expect the number to be low. Eat cheerios (healthy), go to the gym, and get off your ass and stop living in denial. This was for motivation not to put you down, comments like these helped me lose wieght and I hope it will help you to

  • @1527384625 I am shocked, because I don't eat very much saturated fat or cholesterol and I do go to the gym regularly. Just because I'm overweight doesn't mean I don't "get off my ass". Cherios arent healthy either.

  • I recommend you look for videos on here by Caldwell Esselstyn and books by him as well. His work is incredible and if you motivation , watch his movie, forks over knives.

  • People who think that fat automatically = high cholesterol are so ignorant. My sister-in-law who is a recovered anorexic, a yoga instructor, vegetarian, eats organic, and is still so thin she could fit into children's clothing has high cholesterol and takes medication for it. Weight, diet, and lifestyle are only a small factor.

  • @ByeByeBelly GET OFF YOUR ASS.

  • You don't know shit about cholesterol, eating a lot of fat does not increase your blood cholesterol. My level (and my triglycerides) were the lowest ever seen at my GP, and that was after eating red meat and hell knows what else. Being thin is so much better than being a fat slug. Any day.

  • @ByeByeBelly yes i understand, but when someone doesn't have high cholesterol and then all of a sudden has it and it comes as a big surprise to them that means that it isnt hereditary and it has to have come from somewhere esle which tends to be poor nutrition.

  • @1527384625 High cholesterol tends to be hereditary and often doesn't matter whether you're slim or fat. Research it... it's not really some kind of fat person's ailment, contrary to popular belief

  • @Bryturr i never said that all fat people have bad cholesterol i just said u shouldnt be shocked if you are fat and have high cholesterol

  • @1527384625 I'm fat and I have great cholesterol.....

  • @1527384625 It's not normal to have high cholesterol, being in early 20s and being vegetarian. It is hereditary, not because of being overweight. My dad is thin and his is extremely high.
