Sadly no-one jumped out. As has been said before, the pilot Bud Holland had a reputation for being a reckless pilot and had been reprimanded many times. Wikipedia has a good article on this incident if you look up '1994 Fairchild Air Force Base B-52 crash'
i read the german version and it seem that bud holland was an idiot and wanted to kill himself... but the best thing is that the usaf didnt fired him up after that failure at Yakima and the other Missions
You are right - the guy was an accident waiting to happen and it is tragic that he was allowed to continue flying. Holland's commanding officer was court-martialled afterward but that didn't do anything for the people who died.
