The origin of Capoeira is actually unknown. It is very educated-ly guessed that Capoeira was a fighting style developed as a dance by Afro-Brazilian slaves to hide its true intentions from slave masters. Not only that, but the meaning of Capoeira has changed over time referring to classes of people, the dance, the fighting style, and so on. Feel free to share your opinion but don't fight for it unless you know its 100% true.

@musicismyheart56 They get upset because it's like saying TKD is not for a real fight, that it is only used in simulated combats where points are used, I'm shure if one of these Capoeira practiosioners kicks someone or hits them with a reverse fist blow they will go down or atleast get hurt by the impact just as with any other style of martial art, and no I my self do not practice it but I have seen it used at a fast pace wich is when it does most of the damage

Great macaco!
i dont kno why people get all up set over this comment when it's true. capoeira is a game/dance to hone skills needed in a fight not an actually sparring match like tae kwon do and jiu jitsu.
