  • I'm on an iMac G5 right now! And it is NOT that slow at starting up. The black screen does NOT sit that long and the white one with the apple shows for only seconds. I was wondering if THAT one ever would! I'm running on a fresh installation of Leopard, and I have many large games and apps installed and many programs that run in the background on startup (like dropbox and skype) so this is a poor representation.

  • I do not like that name

  • G5 suck I can't use garage band with g5

  • Mine does not have intel and it is not that slow

  • the g5 has most likely never been cleaned up since ever.

  • iFuck iNtel iNside a iMac

  • my imac g3 boots just a little slower than the one on the left. and its running tiger.

  • the g5 probably has a dieing hdd

  • @trainrider110 indeed, my iMac G5 on Leopard takes about 50 seconds to boot up and display the dock. Heck even my 1 GHz PowerBook G4 boots Tiger in about 40 seconds.

  • 269 don't realize it doesn't mean a flying fuck in a rabbit hutch how fast it takes to start-up, but about what it can actually do!!
