This was Johnny Damon's first at bat at Yankee Stadium after he left for the Tigers following the Yankees' 2009 World Championship. It was Detroit's first game at Yankee Stadium in 2010, on August 16th.

One of my favorite Yankees ever, I've always been a fan of the way he plays the game even when he was in Boston and I had to root against him. It's too bad the Yankees wouldn't just go 2 yeas, $16 mil rather than sign the useless Nick Johnson.

I have to admit that the Yankees fans have more class and respect for their former players, I was their at Fenway when Damon returned in a Yankees uniform and while their was a lot of cheering for him, there was some real vile yelling, it was kind of disgracefull.
