AND here's the tile with way too much grout dried on the surface. I'm using a combo of things to slowly remove the dried grout (wood douls, acid, windex, vinegar, 3-in-1 tool...) It's going to be a long week.

  • I had the same problem when i did my kitchen splashback!

There was this white haze over the tiles despite cleaning the excess off, it still looked bad, even on white tiles!

I realised i put too much grout on, and left it to dry on the surface of the tiles, so that's why it was really hard to scrape off.

I'm gonna tile the kitchen again, as i recently did my bathroom and it turned out great! :)

Learned from my mistakes i guess. :)

  • @Hotlips4000isback Glad to hear the bathroom turned out well! That's how we learn, I guess. I know I won't make the same mistake again!

  • did you ever remove the excess? Just did the same thing.....

  • @jodenpalmerplus Yeah I removed as much as I could by using various dowels and the edge of an all-in-one tool, going over each and every tile... i tried muriatic acid, but there was just too much. A real pain in the butt, for sure.
