The Lake Champlain Monster?

Grand Isle, Vermont.
While working outside, this was spotted out in the lake. Unfortunately all I had was a little digital camera with limited video ability.
Is it Champ? Of course not. Or is it??

I've seen champy he is just a sturgeon but sturgeons aren't sopposed to be that big

To me that looks like either a duck or a turtle... We have a lot of both ducks and turtles.

It's a log or a tree branch, look how it wobbles back and forth with the waves.

I take back my otter comment. That is a double crested cormorant paddling along head up. Another common site on the lake.  Far too narrow neck n head to be an otter.
