According to the December 2007 issue of National Geographic Magazine, in 1900 Bethlehem was 90% Christian. Today it is less than 30% and shrinking.

Call it part of a modern exodus, the steady flight of the tiny Palestinian Christian minority that could lead, some predict, to the faith being virtually extinct in its birthplace within several generations.

The native Palestinian Christian population has dipped below 2 percent of the West Bank, Gaza Strip and Arab East Jerusalem, down from at least 15 percent in 1950 by some estimates.

This film considers the situation of Palestinian Christians in Israel and the reality of Christian exodus. And yet, the film also reveals the effort of some Christian communities work to stay in the cradle of Christianity and the call to members of the universal Church to help Christian stay in the land of their birthright.

This is very good and very true. I spent one month living in the Bethlehem area in Dec 08-Jan 09 time period. As an American, I can travel freely with my passport. I did not meet very many Palestinians that could even go to Jerusalem, let alone work there anymore. It did not matter that they are Christians. So, the Christians leave, many have no choice. The only "native palestinians" r the Jews. Fact from first hand experience; Christians in Israel have no problems at all. The people that the leftists call "palis" are a relatively new phenomenon. They r arabs from surrounding areas. Let them try & see what it would be like for them to live in any islamic shit hole. They have it WAY better in Israel than anywhere else. & listening to these "Christian palis" I see they are arabs first. They can thank their muslim brothers for the security needs.

Peace and blessings for everyone willing to speak out ~ but, oh dear, how few church leaders in this country are willing to speak ~ always wanting "balance" ~ but there is no balance under this oppressive occupation, which prevents free movement, involves house demolitions, arrests of children, imprisonment for minot offences, settlers taking over homes, families prevented from living together - building permits refused # the list goes on and on ~ JUSTICE ~

There is no such a thing as "Palestinian" people. They are A-R-A-B-S. The wall is a sad thing but it was created by the terror emmaneted by the Arabs. So do not blame Israel for willing to live in security! Sadly the Arabs want to distory Israel homeland. No nation in the world have a ligitimate claim to that land but Israel. Who among the nation have a legitimate birth certificate to their homeland like the Jewish people! That land was never an Arab land! Let the Jews live in peace!
