Blink 182 wont be back

Sir Thomas Delonge Je. recently had an interview with Mammoth Press on 3-27-08 and i found this while looking through the archives of punkdisasters.com this is the nail in the coffin for me, a straight no for my hopes of them getting back together heres the link for the full interview, he talks about modlife and blink and some other stuff:

If Travis wouldn't have been in that crash, Blink wouldn't have gotten back together. I feel bad for Travises lost friend and horrible experience but i'm so glad that Blink is back!

Tom said Blink took years to catch on and that AVA got big within 12 months. You can't compare both bands in that way. When Blink started, they were unknown, high school kids and played locally. When AVA started, all of the band members were respected musicians who all had fan bases from their previous projects. AVA only caught on faster than blink because its members were already well known, established musicians. Not a fair comparison.

the only reason AvA caught on so quickly was because people knew tom was in the band.. and so it caught on so much faster and it had a gentler sound to it. unlike blinks raspy crappy punk rock sound ♥ i will always love all their bands

@ziggyrig DJ didnt DIE in the crash, he died from drug abuse 1 year later. 4 people died, and travis and adam lived. Its good that blink is back, but dangerous and sad at the same time.

@ghter05 I agree. By saying AVA caught on faster, I mean that they were already well known and had hype with their first recording. We Don't Need to Whisper had more attention than Flyswatter when they were both first released.

@ziggyrig Don't get me wrong, for a while now I thought exactly the same but after seeing an interview Mark did with Carson Daly saying that he was going to work on a solo album right before Travis' crash and that he was going to call Tom, that's where things kinda changed for me. They would've probably worked things out but maybe Blink would have gotten back together just a few years later you know.
