while the little sister brings a good point, it is also important to note that the one who struggles with reciting the Quraan will also be rewarded for his struggle 10 times over. This is how merciful Allaah is to the one who does not have the tongue of the quraan but tries to recite. So give glad tidings to the one who tries to recite and imitate what he hears from the Qari, and do not offend them by calling them parrots when Allaah has honored them with multiple reward wallahu Alaam

I think the sister has not called the qari parrots or at least does not intend to do so. The point is not whether we recite correctly or not. The point is that we should recite with understanding of what is recited. 'Parrot' refers to those who recite with no understanding of the underlying message whatsoever, those who wish to do their tongue service and then do the opposite of what the Quran teaches us.
