didn't look like the Cubs adjusted too well. It was pretty obvious that the ground balls ate them up rather than boneheaded errors
Yes I see the stats about the Cubs failing with RISP. They failed to deliver last year against the Dbacks.....but interesting thing though....The dbacks and dodgers both have Excellent pitching. our pitchers did not get rattled, they stayed cool and made the cubs look silly.
Yes in fact I played in the Little League world Series. My point is that Major Leaguers are used to both. I know your pitching staff was good. But if you look at game 1 and game 3 we had runners in scoring position with nobody out and our batters got too nervous to even touch the pitch.
Please look at the stats from cub batters from the last two years and you'll see that actually it was more to the point that we choked than that the Dodgers pitched too well. Btw i hate manny ramirez now :P
heh, nice way to gie the Dodgers zero credit and make it entirely the cubs fault.
give credit to our pitching staff, all they did was continue to pwn the cubs. Look back at the pre-manny scores of cubs-Dodgers. All were close games when we struggled offensively.
Btw, yes the grass is cut everyday but you missed the point. They cut it extra short. Meaning hard grounders by the cubs would get passed the dodgers average ranged infield defense (in theory). But that was an EPIC FAIL of a plan
The cubs had terrible batting. The cubs have the best Runs Per Game during the season, and COMBINED they only got 5 runs in 3 games. Also, the cubs hitters failed to delived in this year AND last year. Aramis Ramirez, who had 101 RBIs this season, got one hit. Soriano struck out 4 times and got one hit. Fukudome struck out 4 times and also only got one hit. The cubs simply couldnt handle the pressure.
Congrats on the win dude, I'm sure you guys will beat the Phillies.
7 walks - Dempster never gave up that many. He was simply was out of the strike zone, it wouldnt take a little leaguer to know that they were out of the zone.
Cutting the grass? That has nearly no effect, as the grass is cut EVERY day at Wrigley. Also, a major leaguer cannot rely on the length of grass for his defensive abilities. Thats ridiculous.
Listen, if you watched the cubs play this season, you would know why I'm bitching right now.We didnt look anything like we did in the season.ctd-
Explain the 7 wallks? Donny Baseball is how. We have a great hitting coach and manager that preach PATIENCE
Explain the errors? The Cubs decided to cut their grass short inorder to decrease the effectiveness on Derek Lowes sinker ball and put pressure on the Dodger defense....look slike it was counter productive LOL
I'm not gonna lie to you. Dodgers are definitely doing better than the cubs in the playoffs. However, the cubs had a better runs per game, earned run average, batting average, home runs and on-base percentage. How can you explain the cubs infield giving up 5 runs from 4 errors? How can you explain the cubs best pitcher giving up 7 walks in game 1 when he had never done it in his career?
The dodgers killed the Cubs in every way. thanks to the fans ahhhhhhhhahahaa
