How to install a new style on vBulletin

If you need info about installing or importing a new style/skin on any vBulletin based board then this video is for you!.

Please note that we assume you already downloaded and un unziped the file containing the skin or style to be imported, also on our video the server is Cpanel so the root directory will be "public_html".

Now let's start the installation:

First open your FTP client and find on your hard disk drive the place where you downloaded the skin to be installed (we use as FTP client FileZilla but you can use any client you may have).

Usually on a custom skin we find a directory or folder called "Upload", browsing with we should find another directory "Images" and then "XXXX" where XXXX is the name of the skin itself (for example the skin we are installing on this video is called "Infinity" so we can see into the "Upload" directory the folder "Images" and browing again into this folder we finally find a folder "Infinity").

Now on your server find the place where the directory "Images) is located, if you installed your board on server's root then your "Images" directory must be located at public_html/images/ , on our tutorial video we are going to use the Demo board so the URL is public_html/vbdemo/images.

Upload the entire folder "Infinity" (remember that Infinity is the name of our sample skin, you must replace it with the folder of your style) to the "Images" directory on your server, keep the structure inside the folder as is (DON'T CHANGE / EDIT THE FOLDERS "BUTTONS", "ICONS", "MISC", "STATUSICON" and be carefully of upload all files into the "images" directory on your server !!!).

Once all files have been uploaded log into your vbulletin admin panel (our demo shows you for the Admin Panel the URL "www.onlinewebmarket.net/vbdemo/admincp/index.php" but you must change it with the real URL of your Admin area according to the root of your vBulletin, you must type www.yoursite.com/admincp/index.php where "yoursite.com" is your real domain name).

Go to "Styles & Templates" located on the left, then click on "Download/Upload Styles" and find the "Import Style XML File" Box.

Click the "Browse.." button in order to import the XML file located on your skin's directory (on our video we go to the "Upload" folder and select the "infinity-style.xml" file).

Click the "Import" button and the "Done".

Check if now the new skin is available on your Admin Panel and test it directly on your board.

@LioNOHEart Alright. I figured it out. If you have a styles folder, you also drag it into the images folder in the forum directory and then just install the style via the admin control panel, importing the xml and stuff. Same thing goes with the other folders, where the folder has the name of the style. You just drag it into the images folder and import the xml. It wasn't working for me because the style was for 4.0 not 4.1, and the default images were showing up with a messed up layout.

This is sad. THERE ISN'T ONE FUCKING PLACE ON THE INTERNET THAT HAS A GUIDE ON HOW TO INSTALL A VBULLETIN 4 STYLE! ITS FUCKING RIDICULOUS!!!!!!!!!. I have a fucking style folder. What the fuck am I suppose to do with that???? The only styles I know how to install are ones that have the name of the skin as the folder name, and you drag into the images directory, but with the style folder, just what the fuck???? I don't even have 1 by default.
