  • @MartinLoronzo his music seys it all

  • @ybiti I played his music in a high school's leaver on an audio board. Also Sprach Zarathustra when students ceremoniously pacing in; some tunes in the "flowers to parents" pauses. Not an audio engineer, just worked at the school while student, and seen these kids developing. So, yeah, had popularized Deodato a lot. I could post a letter for him (just give me his address:) or just say thanks in admiration buying his music. I does take me, every single remix. Doesn't happen that often.

  • @MartinLoronzo Money doesn’t brings respect for no one. Enjoy the music and spread the songs does!! Besides probably he isn’t a independent artist, so buying his music enrich the music industry wich I fully have not a piece of respect!!! FUCK THE INDUSTRY, major labels kills music and stand for profit, not for culture. But thanks anyway!! see ya!

  • Brings memories....

  • @ybiti Must buy it. For the respect of this musique.

  • where could I find some full albums mp3s ???

  • @ggguzman Although Deodato produced Kool & the Gang in the 1980s after they went to a more pop sound, they had a complete grasp of disco and funk. In fact they were among the architects of funk, whose elements made up so much of the disco sound. "Open Sesame", one of the biggest disco hits of the '70s, is proof of this, released 5 years before K&TG's association with Deodato. I doubt they needed his "mentoring" either. They've been around since the '60s, and started as a jazz combo.

  • Sometimes I think it would be nice to be the poor guy from Haiti or from Havana living in Miami. Poor but happy and without problems. Living in a small modest house with a nice old car with a good radio with even better sound. I listened to it Deodato and live a happy life...

  • good song !!

  • you can really see that he influenced and mentored kool and the gang with this whole disco sound project ^^
