Painting The Clouds With Sunshine by Jean Goldkette & His Orchestra, Vocal by Frank Munn. Victor 22027A, 06/14/1929 Played on my home-made Orthophonic Victrola. Mechanics are all parts bought on eBay, cabinet/horn home made by me based on measurements from an ebay auction and various diagrams/photos from the web. Let me know what you think, sounds pretty good to me but I've never heard an Orthophonic in person.

  • What a fantastic version I love the machine you have built. VERY TALENTED.

  • sound like those old b/w cartoons i used to watch

  • Nice sound!

  • This side may have been credited to Jean Goldkette, but it was actually recorded by the nucleus of Nat Shilkret's "Victor Orchestra", under the direction of Victor Young (using a Frank Black arrangement); Frank Munn was Shilkret's regular vocalist at the time. Goldkette was effectively out of the band business by 1929; to fulfill his Victor contract, he had other orchestras record under his name, including Don Redman's "McKinney's Cotton Pickers" {"Birmingham Bertha"}, which he managed.

  • Man you have good skills

I have a orthophonic a real and can't tell the difference very good job

    Congrats
