Very very well said! im English and would love to see them win but the arrogance is incredible, not won the world cup since 66 and still every 4 years the media rates them as one of the top contenders.

@smistry93 english media makes it seem the english are above diving, asking referees for bookings, etc., which is of course not the case. they also overrate english players, contributing to unrealistic expectations by england fans. in my opinion, england has not underachieved at major tournaments - they have achieved exactly what a team of their ability should be expected to achieve

Rooney is the biggest english diver in football, Gerrard has dived a few times in his career but even then there will always be slight contact and he will be within his rights to go down. Rooney? Please, look at this vid and open your eyes, try and be unbiased and you'll see that almost every time there is no contact for Rooney, look at the last one and the first one and the tottenham one, 0 contact.
