@nctrio7791 ...when Jesus said He was going to Jerusalem to suffer many things, to die and come back at the third day, Peter said that that didn't needed to happen to Him, Jesus actually called Peter Satan "Get out of my way, Satan: you are a danger to me because your mind is not on the things of God, but on the things of men."
Matt 16:23
Our human minds don't really understand the sacrifice of Jesus. Not even the disciples did. We tend to think that God could forgive us without Jesus.

@nctrio7791 - They wrote the Gospels and preached all over world about it, so, I really disagree that they missed the important events. The 4 four Gospels describe the crucifixion and they say pretty much the same thing. The main proof that the Holy Spirit inspired the Bible is that the disciples didn't even hide their horrible mistakes from the NT, like being really afraid and abandoning Jesus at the time He was arrested, or...

@nctrio7791 - My brother, I have music rehearsal at church now and I have to go.
Again, I pray that God will bring us close to the truth and reveal Himself fully to us, for the fact that we're having a good civilized debate about our faith with no offenses, shows that we're not better than anyone, but we're sincere and respectful.
Have a blessed afternoon.

@jgallete Why brother?

@jgallete No brother, I am not saying that they were supposed to be angels. My point was that they were not witnesses to the most important events in their lives.

@nctrio7791 - I know that. I'm just saying that Isa from the Qran is not the same Isa The Messiah from the Bible. It cannot be.

@nctrio7791 - Of course not. I honestly believe that Muhammed's revelations were not from himself.
And you're right about the disciples leaving Jesus, but that only happened when He was arrested. Jesus even said to Peter that he was gonna deny him 3 times. There's no claim from Christianity whatsoever that the disciples were wonderful and perfect people (except from catholics who believe that Mary had no sin, which is not on the Bible). They were sinners like you and me.

@jgallete No. Why would I call you a liar? I do not like to make claim about anybody if I do not have proof. If you said something that you have experinced why would I call you liar?
