This is part one of my advanced pushup series. I will be doing 5 different types of advanced pushups and then I will combine them into one heck-of-a-chest workout.

The rolling pushup is a great exercise because it combines a fly and a pushup into one tough exercise. You can vary how hard it is by varying the angle of your elbows. In this video, I wimped out and bent my elbows to make it easier. To make it tough enough for any pro-BB, keep the arms straight.

When you are all the way down with your face in the carpet, it takes an incredible squeeze from the pecs to get you back up - kind of like the iron-cross on the gymnastics rings. The grunts are not staged, this is a real bear.

This is NOT a beginners exercise, it is for advanced bodybuilders only. If you have not been lifting for at least 6 months, dont even consider doing this because you will most likely get injured.

I made this "rolling pushup" its own video because its a unique exercise and I wanted to be able to link to it individually. There are several other unique exercises in my advanced pushup series that I will be putting up individually also. Thanks for your patience, the advanced pushup video IS coming but it takes a long time to edit.
Anyone can be healthier, have more energy, sleep better, and feel better about themselves through bodybuilding. Bodybuilding doesn't have to be expensive or take a lot of time, gyms are great but home workouts can save you time and money. A cheap dumbbell set from a garage sale or walmart is all it takes to get started with your home workouts.

  • o btw i think im a hard gainer, i take quickmass supplement

  • IMHO, 95% of the population are "hard gainers", and thus they are the norm, not the exception. Its the remaining 5% that are "fast gainers". Please dont take any "mass building" supplements, they will just make you fat and poor without adding any muscle. All you need is proper nutrition. See my "6-pack abs fast" video

  • hey dude how do u know if u've been lifting half heartedly??

ive been at the gym for about 1 month now and i'm not sure if i got stronger

i usually do about 8 reps and i really push myself on the 8th rep and soemtimes lose proper form. once i can do 10 reps i usually move 5 pounds higher. i usually do about 3-5 sets. how do i know when it is enough so i know i am "body building?"

    ty in advance

  • Dont worry, you WILL get stronger and gain muscle - it just takes time. Choose a good basic workout program (like those under "Plans>Beginning" on my website) and stick with it for 6 months to a year. Every time you workout, try to either do one more rep than last week or move up in weight.

  • Scooby, you are a role model. I am an 18 year old kid and I work out at home, never at a gym. At first I thought I would never go anywhere by doing home workouts, but doing so has forced me to be more creative and resourceful with what I have. For example, I use a foldable table (40+ lbs.) to do rows, 3 chairs to do deep&wide pushups, and so on. I learned a lot from your videos.

  • try doing this before saying that
