Name: Cantata for Dancing (Movement 1: Mors ego sum mortis)
Remixers: Derek Oren & Jeremy Robson
Game: Final Fantasy VI

Remember, this is 2 parts because there are two movements, so check out the continuation of it in the next video. I REALLY want to sing this with a choir. The voice leading in all the parts is brilliant and worthy of any type of say Romantic composer or "famous" composer. I love the part at 4:01 a lot. And they make a reference to that part in movement 2.

The Latin is a rough translation to "I am the death of Death"

  • @TyrannosaurusVox So you know Latin? Do you know what the title translates to BTW? Or is the Latin incorrect?

  • You know my feelings on Dancing Mad, given its position in my own list.

I will say, this mix is actually significantly better than I remember it being. I probably had a kneejerk reaction to the bad Latin title. I will openly admit that that can make me hate a piece of music irrationally (which you already know.) Latin is srs bsns.

  • That's a really creepy pic; hehe.

This song has a really pretty chorus. It sounds like they should be singing in an epic.... I'm sure the FF fans are pleased : P There are parts of it that remind me of songs from the Matrix and other parts that remind me of the Duel of the Fates from Star Wars.
