this is sad but i know where shes coming from i feel i look better with my contacts in

Exactly. My monthly contacts come with solution already. I think a bottle doesn't cost more than £3, it's not like it's breaking the bank.

@xUKSteffix Exactly. I mean the cheapest contact solution Iv'e seen is 4-5 dollars. It shouldn't be hard to get contact solution and if it is you shouldn't have contacts..

I'm a fourteen year old boy and I wear non prescription color contact not because I'm insecure just because I like them I think they nice however at fourteen you should be more responsible also everyone tells me that I like an 18 yr old so I guess I'm kinda different I got mine online first inside the box is instructions read them it clearly says DONT USE WATER and DON'T SLEEP IN YOUR LENSES it seems to me all of this could have been avoided

I can sympathise with the 14 year old for the poor information and the end result. But when you're that age you should pretty much know what you're doing. If you're unsure of how contacts work and how o care for them, let alone never having worn glasses as well as having to stick something in your eye, it's common sense to go see an optician or ask your parents. Even seeing contacts sold at comic conventions in stall makes me shudder, to think people buying them without knowing how to use them.

I cleaned my contacts out with tap water once and it horribly dried my eyes out when I put them in (I ran out of solution as I pay for monthly contacts), so I wore my glasses and went straight to my optician. Never again. Solution doesn't cost much people, get a direct debit if you want contacts, you won't have to pay much then.

this is because she didnt buy from a company specialising in coloured lenses

tap water is bad coz there is a bug in tap water so yeah , i am going to get colored contacts in a few months but , yeah

Wow, thats crazy. I'm a teen and I wear colored contacts from my local beauty supply store all the time. I don't have any cleaning solution so i usually just clean my with tap water too. To think something like this could cost me my eyesight. o.O Thanks. This video was very informing.

When you go to a place selling contacts and they don't give you good information about them you run. They told this girl to clean with tap water. NEVER. Don't ever do that. Tap water has chemicals and it's non-sterile. And don't ever sleep in them either. Personally I think it's her fault because she didn't do her "homework" before buying something that was going on an irreplaceable organ.
How ironic that there's an ad for colored contacts in the sidebar...
