Crd. Bruce Nicholls FFI OBE RN (Retd) gave a presentation of Historic Naval Ensigns to members of the Flag Institute at The Naval Club, Mayfair, London. All the flags seen were videoed and photographed on my flagpole. Taking an acceptable photograph of a flag, requires patience and stamina and can be time consuming. Flags with crests etc, like the Royal Standards are the most difficult, one took over 1500 shots to get a single good picture!

hey do you know a trick to raise the flag in a bundle (maybe scrolled) then after the bundle is on the top, a rope is pulled and the flag would release and wave..
i've seen its done wth the royal standard, and i think it's cool.
do you know the detail on it??

I have never seen these flags before, what a wonderful display. I like the Royal Standards. Sometimes the text is scrolled a bit too fast to read. Otherwise, FANTASTIC
