Mt St Helena launch is 4100"MSL, LZ is 490" MSL.
I joined Sonoma Wings club sponsored fly-in.
I lost track of the LZ right after launch. 15 minutes later finally identified the LZ.
I also went to the wrong ridge under the wrong impression that I need to clear that ridge before turning into the LZ. Luckly I got an ass-saving thermal lifted me up 1300 feet saved me from an emergency landing.
This is also my first time pull almost full VG to escape big sink. It seems to be working very well. Thanks WillsWing for making U2 such a wonderful hang glider!
Very cool video. I've hiked up that mtn a few times, I take it the county let the club past the gate so you could drive up there?
