America lost Vietnam, almost lost Korea if it were not for the UN. On the other hand Afghanistan has never lost a war: against Alexander the Great, the Khans, the British Empire, the USSR and now the good old USA.

Korea was a stalemate, still is. If we won, there wouldn't be two Koreas, but if we lost South Korea wouldn't exist. So we can't say we won there. On the other hand you forgot to mention the first Gulf war. We won Desert Storm and got Saddam out of Kuwait. We were wiser back then not to go to Baghdad. Cheyney himself said taking over Iraq would be a "quagmire." A decade later, his brain shrunk.
