Only in the magnificent 80's could you find Lex Luthor attempting to unlock the secrets of peanut butter. I miss being a kid.

@TheThorgodofthunder Cause he's Superman, he protects and serves the people. Killing Lex Luthor would be against what he believes in.
That can be the gentle reason, but the main reason is cause Superman is part of amarican story telling and they always beat the bad guy and send him packing, they'd have to make more and more villains if he went around killing them.
