As was accustomed every year, the county of Somerset became swarmed by travelers from all over Britain and the world. Carrying sleeping bags, tents, clothes for the week, cameras and water bottles, from youngsters to elders, people invaded the never-ending land that was Worthy Farm just the way it has been done for 40 years. This being her second journey to southern England, Melissa was as excited as last year. It was one of her dreams to attend the local festival and thanks to Blur she was able to go back and forth that huge estate even in her role as roadie. Bands she would've never thought seeing live, art installations new to her, everything seemed pulled right out of her imagination. Of course the highlight of watching Blur at its finest form was something worth keeping for life, definitely an unforgettable experience. And this time was no different: at the very last minute, Gorillaz became the headliner for the main stage on Friday night. Something related to the other band's singer getting his back injured during rehearsal made this sudden change possible. Damon invited her over, claiming he wanted to see her again after their night out in Cannes. Melissa needed not to analyze: he was clearly interested in her in more than a friendly way, she perceived it in his eyes and actions. And she was glad to know so because she felt the same as well.

He welcomed her with arms wide open, lifting her even with her having a few extra pounds. When he saw her the day just got all the better. He was having a great time on rehearsal but her presence improved his mood considerably. It had been a long time since he felt this way for someone, years actually. There was something about her that made him act differently to his real self. She was smart, sweet, straight-forward, not to mention gorgeous. Was he in love? He didn't know. All he was aware of was of his feelings towards her. He was fortunate to sense she was responding positively to his courtship so at least there was hope for an opportunity on something else with her.

In terms of bands with radio hits, Gorillaz's performance was not as fortunate as expected. However, they displayed a boldly artistic show that challenged the audience's perspective on live concerts. Melissa was grateful for being able to witness it, particularly since she saw it all from a side of the stage. She had the time of her life, singing the songs and moving rhythmically to the beat whilst flashing her smiles to Damon, oblivious to her coquetry, having to keep the audience interested. But he compensated it by spending his time with her right after the gig was finished. Coincidentially, Mick Jones's birthday landed on that same Friday, the reason a small party was held afterwards that same night. Naturally everyone from the crew was present. Melissa strolled around, observing the people having a good time when she spotted Paul in a far corner, distant from everybody else. She found it odd and went his way. Maybe he was in need of good company.
