This is a montage of WSMV's new on-air look, which debuted on September 12, 2011. Gone are the stone, the old news set, in-house graphics, and Summit. In its place are a new set from FX Group, Look C graphics from NBC Artworks, and Tower v4 from 615 Music. Curiously enough, all of this came seven months after their last refresh, which included a modified set and graphics.

@internationalvibe KNTV has it too, although it looks right with the city names animated.

@samjarris It can't be because I've never seen the actual O&O affiliates have this "problem" before. It's very annoying if you ask me, but only once you finally notice it!
And eh, I actually kind of like this set compared to their old one, but some parts of it just scream "small market."

@internationalvibe It did it again at 3:55 and 4:23. I think its the graphic design!

@internationalvibe That backdrop is too much!

@HulkieG Yeah I agree. That red building in the open animates so damn awkwardly! Rather than rotating out of the way, it rotates WITH the graphics, something the other Look C opens don't do. Not to mention the "NASHVILLE" text looks a little bit too small, and the "at six...live, with breaking news." That pause is a little bit too long in my opinon.
The text on the L3's look a little bit different too.
Also, did you notice how the "NEW @" text eventually started to drift down then up @ 2:38 ?

@Bororeed It would not surprise me one iota if he was just reading what was actually on the teleprompter...
Also while I like Artworks' Look C, something happened as they were loaded into that Viz system I think. They look off and they animate really weirdly.
Granted, it looks a hell of a lot better than that assault on the eyes that was their last package...
