They aren't friendly but they aren't mean, either. They're skittish, mostly, but if they are handled by humans a lot (especially when they are young) then they will work with us rather well. When upset the will hum, though there is the occasional spit, which is never aimed at someone.

They only live in alaska?

Alpacas are not native to Alaska. They're from South America, where they are used as pack animals as well as processed for wool. They're a cross between a llama and a camel, and their breeding is often as closely watched as thoroughbred horses. I plan on posting more videos of them soon!
