WHO WAS SIMON COWELL'S FAVORITE CONTESTANT ON AMERICAN IDOL?

American Idol will be celebrating its tenth season starting in January, 2011. Over the course of the last nine seasons, the show has seen a lot of great singers, some who have of course won the competition, and some who didn't necessarily win, but have gone on to have great success.

We caught up with former Idol judge, Simon Cowell, who will be bringing his hit British show, X-Factor, to the USA next Fall on FOX. We asked Cowell who his favorite contestant on American Idol was during his reign as a judge.

I'm not surprised! Fantasia is the best... People just hate her for all the wrong reasons and like others for all the wrong reasons too .. Simon knows talent, raw talent, and has always recognized that!

There was no point watching this show after Fantasia won , talents like her come once in a blue moon , her uniqueness is what makes her polarizing but it doesn't make her any less incredible as a vocalist and a performer

Of course Fantasia. Honestly after she won there was no reason to watch the show anymore because she set such a high standard that no Isol contestant could reach.
