The process of making machine knit fan lace. You are getting the real deal here. Mistakes and all, but at least you will see what can go wrong and how to fix it. I won't be getting and awards for my solo camera work but you'll get the gist of how to make the lace.

  • Thank you!!!

  • Thank you for being willing to show your mistakes in the video. Really helps to know what to watch out for. Great video and great technique.

  • I'm a novice to the knitting machine as well. I didn't know you could do something like this on it! Thank you so much for sharing.

  • Thank you so much for sharing this. You do a very professional job of showing how to make a truly beautiful piece of lace. I've made a scarf with your instructions. I didn't know that my very basic knitting machine could produce something like this. Great job!

  • As a machine knitter, I am delighted to find someone who is creative and willling to share. Your instructions were clear and concise, and thank you for showing the pitfalls and how to correct a mistake. I look forward to your next contribution.

  • That you were able to figure out how to do this is amazing to me. I like to figure things out myself when someone won't share, but geez Cheryl, this is SOME accomplishment! I'm a knitter but I don't own a knitting machine. This was really interesting to watch. Thanks so much! (mistakes and all :D)

  • Lovely and inspiring video! Thanks for taking the time to share!

  • This is such a great video. It took me 4 hours to complete a scarf about 3-4 feet. There are only 2 things I would like to add (I had to figure it out :-) Make sure that your machine cam is set to "hold" the needles that are out of work at "E" position and also that you didn't put an end to your work. I would love to know how you casted off. Thank you so much for sharing this pattern. I love it.

  • Thank you for sharing. I am sitting here in Danmark and trying to find out how to use my "new" broher knit machine and I´ve learned a lot by watching your video.

  • Great video. I'm excited to try this out on my machine, and this really helped me figure out how short rows work on the machine. I do have one question though, how do you bind off the fan lace? Is it just a crochet cast off and crocheting the 6 extra chains in the middle?
