Paul Thiry House (for sale)

This 1962 house was designed by Paul Thiry, the chief architect and designer of the 1962 World's Fair in Seattle. His other buildings include many of the space-aged buildings still in the Seattle Center, including what is now called "Key Arena."

In my opinion, I would keep the house where it is and tear down the neighboring house. This house actually adds to the historical value of the neighborhood.

Agreed in principal. This is an amazing, historically significant house for sure. Not being the landowners ourselves, we've been working extremely hard to find a recipient within the Puget Sound region who can put this great house on their waterfront land. The owners have been very supportive of our efforts to save the house and have given us the time we need to do so. Wow, that is an amazing house- I sort of hate to see what they're going to build in its placed once moved. Can't imagine anything better then what is there now!

Wish i had water front property to put this Gem. my Question do you really think this house can be moved without destroying the place. i mean this house is heavy and quite large
