Removing 200 pounds of an invasive plant like mint from a drought tolerant/native plant garden is a challenge. Shawna Coronado has called her garden team in to help with pulling the over 200 pounds of mint and weeds out of the garden, they show the process, including the installation of new drought tolerant plants.
*Note -- Because the FTC requires it, I am noting that Organic Mechanics Soil sponsored the soil used for this project. Plants Nouveau sponsored the Campanula' Freya' and Lobelia cardinalis 'Fried Green Tomatoes' plants and Terra Nova Nurseries sponsored the Echinacea plants - 'Gum Drop', 'Maui Sunshine', 'Phoenix', plus Veronica 'Aztec Gold', Nepeta 'Blue Dragon', Eucomis 'Oakhurst', Eucomis 'Freckles', Heuchera 'Lipstick', 'Hollywood', and 'Cherry Cola' plants. However, I would use these products even if they had not been sponsored -- I like the them and trust the quality from both nurseries.
@ILuvCaroline Good advice!

Mint can actually grow through your house if planted near the house. So that is why I keep mine in a container and always keep it from going to seed.

Hi Shawna! Great video! I can't wait to see how all those plants grow, so I am looking forward to your next update! Thanks for the watering tip. As a new gardener, I am finding that watering is a difficult skill to learn.
