@bluebellnutter but if they cower too much you can't see there faces becaus they are looking down which is no fun

@katyc130890 it was a show that Alanis Morisette starred in that finished 20 years ago but it was a cult programme that spawned a generation of fans.

What is the point of this? Is this some kind of fad in the UK or something? We don't do this in Canada... not that I know of, at least.

Where were the gungings done? were thety in front of an audience or in private??

The first two gungings on the clip were relatively private test runs for the tank. The others were at public events.

Wish I went to Lancaster Uni, my student loan would all go on hair shampoo rather than booze and smelly take away food! there NEEDS to be a sequel

No your money would still probably go on booze and take aways as we got boxes of literally 1000's of bottles of shampoo, soap etc. for free. There are a few Uni's who've contacted me since about the Gunge Tank so you never know where the Gunge Tank may next appear.
